"Naruhodo" (なるほど) translated from Japanese means roughly "oh! now I get it." I write, therefore I understand. This blog is one avenue by which I ferret out the meaning of life, the universe, and everything....

Please pray for these families
Yesterday, my friend's 21 month old son was found face down in his aunt's pool.
Sabine just called and said that they are very cautiously optimistic but by no means is he out of the woods.
Michael had a CT scan this pm and there was very little swelling. His ventricles were clear which means spinal fluid is flowing and the docs were able to see differences between clear and grey matter.
Sabine sounded so much better but she did stress that he is not out of the woods so please continue to pray.
I know that they are all so tremendously grateful to you all.
Oh Marie - my heart breaks for this family. I said prayers as soon as I read this and I'll continue to pray. The results of his CT scan do sound good...but time will tell. I can imagine the stress your friend is under. The support of her friends will be invaluable.
Keep storming Heaven like the insistant friends that you are. God is certainly listening. Yesterday afternoon Michael opened his eyes a lot, but the staff basically didn't think this was significant. I asked St, Therese to give Sabine a sign and a bit later Sabine said that she knew Michael tried reaching for her.
Later that evening, Michael became agitated during a procedure - definitely a good sign. They ran an EEG and while not giving us any info because it has to go through neurology, etc, they didn't seem dissappointed. After all this, they started being very strict with visitation policies - no longer were the bunch of us encouraged/allowed to gather around sweet baby Michael, sit on the bed, count fingers and toes, etc. I feel they were letting us do this in order to give us closure.
Later during the night, Michael actually required sedation and Sabine was told to stop talking as he is reacting to her voice and his bp needs to stay down.
Today and tomorrow are more critical days - keep storming Heaven for a miracle. We weep and hope and pray -
